“Sur-Moni” Deepsankar, a young sitarist born in the year 1986, is 5th generation sitarist of his Enlightened Musical Family. He started his musical career from his tender age under the guidance of his Father Pandit Hara Shankar Bhattacharya and also receiving lessons from his dadaguru Padmabhusahan Ustad Abdul Halim Jaffer Khan Sahab. He is the torch bearer of JAFFERKHANI BAZZ (Indore Gharana). His mother Smt.Parul Bhattacharya was the Disciple of Late Pandit A.T.Kanan. Additionally Deepsankar Performed at various Concerts in India and abroad including New York, Switzerland, Germany, Holland and many other places. Some Achievements :- Gold Medal from Sarbobharatio Sangeeto-o-Parisad ,Gold medal from Vadic Heritage(New York), Gold Medal From Baba Harballav music Competition, Stood first in AIR music competition, Got National Scholarship ,received Ravi kopikar Memorial Award, received Pt.Visnu Digambar Palushkar Award etc.
